Lenin Peak

Lenin Peak is situated in the northern part of Pamir in Zaalayski range and it is considered to be one of the most easy seven-thousands which you can ascent without special training and high-altitude climbing experience. "Edelweiss Travel" offers the ascent on Lenin Peak from the Northern side.

Season:
since June 20 till August 21. The minimum size of the groups is 4 persons.

DAYS:

1: Arrival in Osh. Hotel accommodation.

2: Bus transfer (280km) to Achik-Tash area (3700m), here the base camp is situated. Preparation for the ascent.

3-20: The basic program - the ascent. The following tactics of the ascent are usual for Lenin Peak; 5 km from the base camp through the Lukovaya glade and over the Puteshestvennikov pass to the glacier. Then 5 km along the glacier to the altitude of 4200 m where the first intermediate camp is pitched;
- Ascent to the "Skovorodka" - 5100 m, making the second camping, descend to the base camp;
- The rest day;
- Ascent on 5100m, overnight in tents, ascent on the Razdelnaya summit (6148m), descent to 4200m, overnight in tents, ascent on 6100m, overnight in tents, ascent to the top, descent to the camp 6100 m and further base camp. The group has additional 3 days in case of bad weather. The basic program takes 18 days.

21: Bus transfer to Osh. Hotel accommodation.

22: Departure from Osh.

Conditions:
The climbers go along the route without assistance, pitch intermediate camps and secure safety. They must have their own equipment.

Service:
"Edelweiss Travel" provides: transport from Bishkek to Osh town to the base camp and back; food and other consumer service in the town and in the base camp; consultations, radio communication, medical aid, fuel for primus stoves, all formalities.

For additional payment: helicopter flight over the region, mountain guides (working out the route, pitching intermediate camps, cooking etc).

The ascent is in expedition style.
