Program # 1

Kyrghyzstan has a lot of opportunities for heli-skiing in the mountains. 95 % of the territory of the country is lying in the mountains of Tien-Shan. Hundreds of virgin slopes are waiting for the skiers who love wild nature and nice free runs on the fresh snow. Experienced pilots of the helicopter MI-17 can land on the peaks and passes at the altitude of 4500 m, with the group of 15 skiers. The run of the decent is 1-5 km. Different regions are used for skiing.

1. The first one is the Kyrgyz Ala-Too range, which is situated not far from Bishkek, the capital of Kyrghyzstan. There are a lot of beautiful slopes to any taste and level of training in Ala-Archa gorge and Suusamyr valley. The group accommodation is in mountain hotel Kashka-Suu.
2. The second area - is the region of the Issyk-Kul Lake, Kungey Ala-Too range. In this case group accommodation is in the best big resort "Aurora" 3* at the seaside of the Issyk-Kul Lake. The breath of this great warm lake makes the climate softer, milder and due to it there is a lot of snow in winter. This region presents great possibilities for skiing.
3. The third region is Terskey Ala-Too range close to Kara-Kol town. Skier's accommodation is in mountain hotel in the forest.

The peculiarities of the climate of Tien-Shan. The winter in the mountains is warm. The temperature is from +5 to -10 degrees centigrade. The depth of the snow in the region is 0,7 - 1 m. The structure of the snow is powdery. The avalanche danger is minimal.

The temperature in spring is from +10 to -5 centigrade. The depth of the snow is 1-1,2 m. The structure of the snow is flaky. The avalanche danger is middle. Season: February, March and April. The optimum size of a group is 12 persons, maximum 15 persons.

Conditions:
Every member of the group must have medical and accident insurance, his own outfit (including radio buoy).
In case of non-flying weather the lost hours of heli-ski will be compensated on the other days. We give guaranty about - 3000 - 4000 vertical meters in day. 6 days - 18 - 24 vertical km.

Service:
"Edelweiss Travel" provides: transport (helicopter, bus); full board, accompaniment by guide-instructors, radio connection, rescue equipment, interpreter, visa support and all formalities on the spot. 8 days of rest in Kyrghyzstan, 6 of them is heli-skiing in one of the skiing regions. The program begins on Saturday (arrival in Bishkek or Almaty) and ends on the next Saturday (departure from Bishkek or Almaty).
Accommodations: In second region it is "Aurora spa"- 3*hotel. In first and third regions - mountain hotels. Double rooms, shower and toilets. Dinning room.

Program 2
Summer helicopter skiing

This unique opportunity is open in Tien-Shan Mountains for fanatics of mountain skiing. In summer time (July-August) our helicopter Mi-17 is based in Central Tien-Shan in Mayda-Adyr gorge at an altitude of 2500m.

The group of skiers consisting of 10 people can make themselves comfortable there in the base camp Mayda-Adyr and then fly out for skiing to the region of Kuily River. The huge glaciers are located there and particular at that area the skiing takes place. Helicopter landing places are situated at an attitude from 4000m to 4500m. In 2-3 days the group flies to Inylchek base camp located not far from Khan-Tengry Peak at an altitude of 4000m. From there every morning the group will fly out to the glacier and different slopes situated in Tengry-Tag, Inylchek-Too and Sary-Djaz Ranges. Helicopter landing places are located at an altitude from 4000m. Altitude difference from the beginning to the end of descent is 2500m. During the flights to this region the skiers will be able to see the panoramas of the most beautiful and majestic Tien-Shan tops - Pobeda Peak (7439m) and Khan-Tengry Peak (7010m).

2. Transfer to Mayda-Adyr gorge. Accommodation at tent camp. Preparing for heli-skiing.
3 - 8. Heli-skiing.
9. Transfer to Issyk-Kul Lake. Rest.
10. Afternoon transfer to Bishkek town. Excursion to Burana tower. Accommodation at hotel.
11. Departure.

Conditions:

All skiers must be experienced in skiing on virgin snow (OFF PIST) and be able to endure high altitude. The obligatory condition is the presence of medical and accident insurance.
